New portfolios at the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology following reshuffle

The UK’s science department has confirmed the portfolios of the recently appointed ministers following last week’s government reshuffle.

Andrew Griffith will take on the role of minister of state for science, research and innovation, encompassing major policy areas such as space, quantum, life sciences and backing UK researchers at home and abroad—as it did under previous incumbent, George Freeman.
