Donelan unveils £100m mission to develop 6G technologies

                         

Funding to support series of research hubs coordinated by UK Research and Innovation

The UK government has pledged £100 million to develop next-generation 6G telecommunications technologies.

The funding, which was announced as part of the government’s new Wireless Infrastructure Strategy, will support a new “future telecoms mission” to ensure the UK is “at the forefront of both adopting and developing 6G, the future of digital connectivity”.
