EPSRC meets chemists over cuts

Representatives from the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council met organic chemists on 12 October to discuss the council’s funding plans.

The EPSRC has faced vocal opposition from the research community since publishing its funding portfolio in July. UK chemists, concerned about cuts to synthetic organic chemistry, have sent letters to the prime minister, David Cameron and the science minister, David Willetts.
