Very Large Array telescope calls on public to find new name

The US National Radio Astronomy Observatory is asking the public to find a new name for its New-Mexico-based Very Large Array telescope.

The deadline for submissions is December 1 and the new name will be announced on January 10, 2012, at NRAO’s Town Hall at the American Astronomical Society’s meeting in Austin, Texas.
