STFC gives green light for accelerator funding

The Science and Technology Facilities Council has approved continued funding of the John Adams Institute, which is working on proposals to create an international linear collider, the council’s science board has said.

In a report from the board’s meeting on 10 and 11 November, the council says it has endorsed recommendations made by its accelerator strategy board on future funding for four accelerator proposals.
