Research Councils UK, the Higher Education Funding Council for England, and the vice-chancellors umbrella group, Universities UK, have issued a joint statement on their commitment to research excellence and impact.
The three bodies said on 21 July that they would continue to develop joint programmes, including developing complementary funding policies to boost impact; uniting their approaches to knowledge exchange; balancing the monitoring, assessment and collection of statistical data from universities; and training PhD students to achieve impact from their research.
