The Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council has published details of how it will handle requests for equipment funding in the light of recently announced cuts to equipment budgets.
On 19 May, the council declared it would provide only half the total cost for equipment between £10,000 and £121,588—with research institutions expected to contribute the rest. The cuts were implemented with immediate effect and are applied retrospectively to applications submitted before 1 May.
