IAH sets up livestock disease research partnership with China

The Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council’s Institute for Animal Health has established a joint research programme with the China Animal Health and Epidemiology Centre in Qingdao, China, on tackling emerging viral diseases in livestock.

The first two China Partnership Awards will fund a project on African swine fever involving the IAH’s Linda Dixon and a group of Chinese researchers. A second award has been made to Satya Parida to support his studies on peste des petits ruminants, an economically important disease affecting sheep and goats.
