NERC considers deep Earth science programme

The Natural Environment Research Council is looking into launching a programme aimed at researching the relationship between processes in the Earth’s core and consequences for life on the surface.

According to an announcement published on the council’s website on 12 August, from this month NERC will begin “scoping activities”, spending £250,000 on between five and ten projects, to determine how best to develop the programme.
