The Medical Research Council will award £7 million to 15 research projects that will look into the use of 22 AstraZeneca compounds, it announced on 31 October.
The collaboration between the MRC and AstraZeneca was announced in December 2011. As part of the agreement, AstraZeneca made 22 chemical compounds available to scientists for free.
