Tell us more, users tell research councils

Over 40 per cent of respondents to a survey by Research Councils UK said their interaction with academics has increased over the past two years. However, only 21 per cent felt it had become easier to engage with academics in that time.

The survey, which received 1,331 responses from non-academic end users of research, found that the biggest barrier to engagement was a lack of resources and time, something that affected small to medium-sized organisations the most.
