Three projects—led by the universities of Manchester, Cardiff and Birmingham—are set to share an investment of £3.5 million in the Arts and Humanities Research Council’s Connected Communities programmes.
The projects, to focus on the interaction between communities and the creative economy, will involve participation by local community groups. The AHRC says in a statement that they will help to “shape, generate and engage with community initiatives so as to offer potential benefits in the future to policy-makers and cultural and creative businesses”.
