Councils seek views on research integrity concordat

Research Councils UK, the Higher Education Funding Council for England and Universities UK have opened a consultation on a joint concordat for research integrity.

The draft document, which is out for consultation until 11 May, outlines five commitments that are needed for researchers, employers and funders to uphold research integrity. These include keeping the highest standards of rigour and integrity in all aspects of research; creating a research environment that is underpinned by a “culture of integrity”; and having robust processes in place to “deal with allegations of research misconduct should they arise”.
