Pioneering global lake surveillance project launched

The University of Stirling is to lead a consortium of six universities and research institutes in the world’s first satellite-based lake surveillance system.

The £2.5-million GloboLakes project, which will study more than 1,000 lakes around the world, is being funded by the Natural Environment Research Council.
