The Arts and Humanities Research Council and the Technology Strategy Board have launched a research programme to study the reform of long-term care provisions for the elderly.
Applications are being taken, until the deadline on 12 June, for a sandpit event to be held in September. This will be open to up to 25 researchers. It is expected to lead to applications for awards of up to £2.4 million and for ideas to feed into proposals for Small Business Research Initiative projects.
The TSB said in a 29 April statement that it wants to hear from arts and humanities researchers with “valuable insights into the human perspectives and creative possibilities of this field and help to re-imagine and re-design the future for providing care in later life”.
