Babraham research campus expands

The Babraham Institute in Cambridge, funded by the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council, has opened a building designed to provide both laboratory and office facilities for growing companies.

The upgrade to the institute follows a £44 million investment by the Treasury, that was announced in the 2011-12 budget.

One of the companies to use the facility, known as the Jonas Webb building, is Cancer Research Technology Limited, the commercialisation arm of Cancer Research UK.
