Goodfellow reappointed to STFC governing body

The governing body of the Science and Technology Facilities Council has reappointed two of its members.

Julia Goodfellow, vice-chancellor at the University of Kent, and Ian Taylor, former Conservative MP and science minister in John Major’s government, have been reappointed until 31 March 2018.

STFC chairman Michael Sterling said in a statement: “Both Julia and Ian have been invaluable members of the STFC council in their first terms in the post. Their reappointment to council is a testament not only to their outstanding contribution to the work of the council but also acknowledges their support and commitment to ensuring the continued strength of the UK research community.”
