ESRC to fund evidence gathering in EU referendum debate

The Economic and Social Research Council is to fund research into the relationship between the UK and the European Union.

The ESRC hopes that the Changing Europe Initiative Commissioning Fund will become “an authoritative source of expertise recognised by all sides in the debate over the UK’s relationship with the EU”.

Funded activities might include the synthesis of existing findings, the production of policy briefs and the organisation of workshops to bring academics together with non-academic interested parties.
