The Natural Environment Research Council has entered into a strategic partnership with not-for-profit water company Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water.
The three-year partnership will allow NERC and DCWW to share knowledge, data and expertise from “across the £330-million portfolio of NERC-funded research into real world applications, tools and solutions across the water sector.”
Although a memorandum of understanding is yet to be agreed, it is thought that the partnership will focus on three areas of mutual interest; managing water catchment areas, managing nutrient levels in river, coastal and marine environments, and environmental data.
