HEFCE launches knowledge exchange support framework

The Higher Education Funding Council for England has announced a “comprehensive package” of support for knowledge exchange activities at English universities.

A steering group to bring together university leaders, academics and practitioners has been established. The group is chaired by Trevor McMillan, vice-chancellor of Keele University, and its members include David Bembo of Cardiff University, Phil Clare of the University of Oxford, Luke Georghiou of the University of Manchester and David Sweeney of HEFCE, as well as seven others.

HEFCE has also launched a website that aims to identify and develop examples of best practice in knowledge exchange. The website provides resources for universities to engage in the use of data as the basis for performance comparisons, benchmarking and identification of performance peers for support and improvement.
