Respondents to a survey have said that the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council works smoothly with industry but needs to improve its interactions with government and policymakers.
The BBSRC commissioned the market research firm ComRes to undertake research on public perceptions of the council, and to measure any change in attitudes since 2014.
The survey findings, published on 31 October, are based on information from 31 qualitative interviews held between April and June, and an online survey completed by 507 people.
