The Centre for Defence Enterprise has been replaced by the Defence and Security Accelerator.
The accelerator will build on the success of the CDE in helping government departments collaborate with industry and academia, the government said in a press release on 7 December.
“The CDE provided a strong starting point, and the accelerator will take us even further,” the government said in a subsequent press release announcing the launch of the accelerator on 8 December. “It will help suppliers to overcome the barriers to exploitation and ensure the UK makes the most of its innovators to maintain the advantage over those who wish us harm.”
