The Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council has set out the four areas it wants to focus on for the next five years, in a preview of its next delivery plan.
A draft of the EPSRC’s 2016-20 delivery plan was put out to consultation at the end of 2015 and is due to be published in full in March. However, on 2 February, the council published an update to the draft plan ahead of the research councils’ individual budget allocations, which are expected later this month.
The update sets out four outcomes that will underpin the council’s work over the period—productivity, connectedness, resilience and health—and a set of ambitions for each of them.
