Medical clinicians encouraged to get involved in research

   

NIHR says that with the right support, even busy NHS workers can participate in studies

The National Institute for Health Research has launched a campaign to encourage more medical clinicians to become involved in research as part of their professional duties.

The initiative, called Your Path in Research, was announced on 4 October to coincide with the birthday of James Lind, an 18th-century Scottish doctor famous for conducting an experiment on sailors which found that citrus fruit could help to cure and prevent scurvy.
