Iain Williams will leave role as deputy chief scientific adviser at Defra to join NERC
The Natural Environment Research Council has named Iain Williams as its director of strategic partnerships.
Williams, who is deputy chief scientific adviser at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, will leave Defra to take up the role on 2 January 2020, the research council announced on 9 October.
