Research England puts up £29m for evidence-based policymaking

New quality-related funding for universities to develop research policymakers

Research England will channel an extra £29 million to universities to support evidence-based policymaking, the funder has announced.

The money—part of UK Research and Innovation’s Strategic Priorities Fund—will be quality-related and distributed to institutions in proportion to their research income from central government bodies, local authorities and health authorities.
