Umbrella funding agency UK Research and Innovation is looking for two non-executive directors, as well as a new executive chair for Innovate UK.
The directors will join the UKRI board, which advises the business secretary on R&D budgets. The board is made up of the chair, chief executive and chief finance office of the agency as well as 12 independent members. According to a UKRI spokesperson, the two new directors will replace two existing board members, whose identities UKRI has not yet revealed.
Candidates for those two positions should demonstrate “a strategic and dispassionate mindset with excellent listening, influencing and communication skills, intellectual capacity and inquisitiveness”, UKRI said in a statement on 29 May.
