Two cheers for QR funding boost

A rise in this year’s QR funding for English universities has been broadly welcomed, but left charities and smaller institutions concerned.

Research England announced a £91 million boost for research and knowledge exchange on 2 July, indicating that ‘mainstream’ QR funding will increase from £1.050 billion in 2018-19 to £1.095bn in 2019-20.
