Funders call for pitches on how to improve access to postgraduate research study

Research England and the Office for Students have launched a joint £8 million funding competition to help improve access to postgraduate research among Black, Asian and minority ethnic students.

The two bodies said BAME students were “underrepresented” at postgraduate research level and warned that there had been “little change” in participation in the past few years, as they announced the fund on 22 October. Research England will contribute £6 million to the fund and the OfS will give £2 million.
