UKRI formally recognises the contributions of reviewers

Tool will enable UKRI peer review contributions to be publicly displayed in Orcid profiles

UK Research and Innovation has become the first funder to formally credit the contribution of reviewers through the Orcid system, which uniquely identifies academic authors and contributors.

Reviewers will now be issued a “review credit”, which will be publicly displayed in their Orcid profiles without compromising the anonymity and confidentiality of the assessment process, the funder announced on 23 November.
