UK opens underground lab to scientists globally

Researchers can apply to investigate geothermal energy at a newly opened observatory in Glasgow

UK Research and Innovation has launched a UK Geoenergy Observatory in Glasgow, inviting scientists from around the world to apply to use the facility from March 2021.

The funder hopes that data from the underground observatory will help scientists understand the subsurface world better.
