Unions representing UKRI staff will now ballot members on the funder’s offer

Staff at the UK’s largest public funder of research have finally received a pay rise offer for 2019—after a year of delays, Research Professional News can exclusively reveal.

Unions representing UK Research and Innovation employees will now ballot members on the funder’s offer, which was formally sent to unions after being cleared by the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy on 27 May.
