NERC appoints deputy chair

Alison Robinson will take charge of spending review submissions and strategy

The Natural Environment Research Council has promoted corporate affairs director Alison Robinson to be its next deputy chair.

A lawyer by training, Robinson joined NERC in 2014 after years in the legal and charity sectors. She has previously led on public engagement, strategy, sustainability and stakeholder engagement at the £330-million-a-year public funder, which is part of UK Research and Innovation.
