UKRI awards funding in second wave of Strength in Places Fund

  

Money will allow projects to develop full bids and apply for £10m-50m later this year

UK Research and Innovation has announced funding for 17 new projects aimed at boosting local economic growth across the country.

The projects, which span a range of sectors including healthcare, cyber security, construction and clean energy, will each receive up to £50,000 in early-stage funding through the second wave of UKRI’s Strength in Places Fund, the funder announced on 11 August.
