UKRI rows back on promise to publish details of R&D aid cuts

Funder has confirmed cuts with institutions but will not include grant outcomes in final report

UK Research and Innovation will not be publishing details of how individual grants have been affected by cuts to the UK’s reduced international aid budget in its review of Official Development Assistance funding.

UKRI announced its review of ODA funding in March, following revelations that central government had given the funding agency £120 million less than required to meet its funding commitments for 2021-22, which resulted in budget cuts for over 800 ongoing projects.
