UKRI allows grantees to work from home or overseas

            

UK Research and Innovation lifts restrictions on such work where projects and institutions allow it

Research staff funded by UK Research and Innovation will now be allowed to permanently work remotely, from home or even overseas, under new rules announced by the national research funder—as long as that is compatible with their projects and institution’s rules.

Many researchers have been forced to work remotely over the past 18 months due to the Covid-19 pandemic, when several research facilities closed and some staff were asked to self-isolate after coming into contact with the virus.
