UKRI admits it ‘falls short’ as gender pay gap increases

   

Funder reports gap of 12.3 per cent for 2021—an increase of 1.6 percentage points

UK Research and Innovation’s chief executive has admitted the funder still “falls short” of its equality, diversity and inclusion goals as it revealed an increase in its gender pay gap, with Innovate UK reporting the biggest gap.

UKRI’s pay gap submission was delayed by 24 hours “due to a production error”, and a spokesperson apologised for the late submission.
