REF 2028 consultation attracts more than 250 responses

Research Excellence Framework team now working towards initial decisions as early as next month

The four UK Higher Education funding bodies are considering 260 responses to a consultation on initial proposals for the 2028 Research Excellence Framework, with an initial analysis of the contents expected next month.

In a statement published on the Jisc website, REF organisers said they were also considering applications from people and organisations that expressed an interest in working to co-develop indicators for the new people, culture and environment strand of the research assessment exercise following the closure of a tender.
