UCAS consults on university application changes

The Universities and Colleges Admissions Service has launched a consultation on plans to make prospective university students apply after receiving their A-level grades rather than, as now, based on their predicted grades.

The consultation document, published on 31 October, outlines the technical details of the proposal. Under the plans, A-level examinations would have to start 15 days earlier than at present, with results available from early July.
