Birkbeck academics attack government reforms

The University and College Union has revealed that Birkbeck College’s academic board has passed a motion criticising the government’s higher education reforms.

The board passed a motion on 16 November after agreeing that plans to give private providers access to public money could cause “great and irreversible damage to higher education in the UK”, according to a union statement published on 18 November.
