UK universities ranked high on independence

The UK is ranked in the top three on all four of the university autonomy scorecards published by the European University Association on 15 November.

The UK ranks first in the ability of universities to decide their own organisational structure and third in financial autonomy, such as the ability to freely allocate funds internally, said the EUA report, “University Autonomy in Europe II—the Scorecard”.
