Pupils have poor understanding of tuition fees, says survey

Only 31 per cent of secondary school students understand the university tuition fees system in England, according to a survey commissioned by the Sutton Trust.

About a third of 2,700 English and Welsh students between aged between 11 and 16 years understood that the government will pay out loans to cover tuition fees which students will re-pay when they earn a certain salary.
