Cambridge no-confidence vote in Willetts ends in tie

The University of Cambridge’s governing body, the Regent House, has ruled that a motion of no confidence in universities minister David Willetts will not be carried.

A spokesman for the university said that 681 members of the house voted in favour of a no-confidence vote, but exactly the same number voted against it.
