Universities Scotland, an umbrella group for vice-chancellors, has appointed Seamus McDaid, principal and vice-chancellor of the University of the West of Scotland, as convenor.
McDaid, who also sits on the group’s executive committee, replaces former Abertay University principal Bernard King, who has recently retired.
