UK universities win EU award

Fifteen UK universities have been awarded the European Commission’s HR Excellence in Research Award for improving working conditions and career-development opportunities for researchers. The award went to the universities of Leicester, Liverpool, Manchester, Nottingham, Stirling, Bath, Strathclyde, Plymouth, Birmingham, Brunel, Central Lancashire, Dundee, Durham, Huddersfield, and Lancaster, bringing the total of such awards in the UK to 38.
