Lancaster and Liverpool may unite as LLU

Lancaster University and the University of Liverpool are considering uniting under a federal system, according to a consultation paper.

The green paper, “The Case for Collaboration between Lancaster and Liverpool Universities”, says that a “close relationship” between the two “would push LLU into the leading group of universities both for [Quality-Related] funding and for research council funding”.
