‘Oxbridge obsession’ inhibits social-mobility, says Million+

The university think tank Million+ has warned that the government’s “limited vision” of social mobility in higher education will “yield only limited results”.

The report, ‘Universities driving social mobility—Beyond the Oxbridge obsession’, was published on 19 September. It warns that the government’s focus on fair access to only a few universities could “reinforce old hierarchies”.
