Ten Scottish universities are to receive a share of £115,000 funding from the Scottish government for students to study overseas.
Announcing the first set of Saltire scholarships allowing Scottish students to travel abroad on 12 November, education secretary Michael Russell said the scheme was designed to encourage students to study in Scotland, but that the government had wanted to expand on this.
