Wilson review to highlight new universities’ success

Tim Wilson’s inquiry into university and business collaboration is set to highlight new universities’ success in creating a business-oriented culture, he told a dinner meeting at the Royal Society on 1 February.

According to a report of the event, hosted by the Foundation for Science and Technology, Wilson said that a university culture in favour of collaborations with business in placements and internships across students and post-doctorates “was more generally to be found in the former Colleges of Advanced Technology and Polytechnics”.
