NUS names and shames universities on widening access

The Universities of Edinburgh, Aberdeen and St Andrews have Scotland’s worst records on recruiting students from poorer backgrounds, according to a report by the National Union of Students Scotland.

The report, Unlocking Scotland’s Potential, was published on 25 July. It argues that Scotland has the poorest record in the UK for widening access to university for students from poorer backgrounds.
